Braeview Bed & Breakfast is a short 30-minute drive from The Great Alpine Road on one of the touring loops. Follow the light to Kiewa Valley at the foot of Victoria's highest mountain, Mt Bogong, and you'll find us!

Falls Creek Ski Resort is a 32km or 40-minute drive from Braeview.
Chains are required to be carried in vehicles and fitted where designated
during the declared Winter ski season.

Cars and motorbikes can experience the Bogong High Plains Road in comfort with the sealing of the road now completed. Mt. Beauty will become the ideal starting destination to explore the fabulous scenery of the High Country by car or motor bike through the towns of Falls Creek, Omeo ending up at Bairnsdale or the coast. Maybe a round trip along the Great Alpine Road through Mt. Hotham, Omeo and back via the Bogong High Plains to Falls Creek and Mount Beauty - a fabulous scenic drive/ride on the roof of the high country.

How to get to Braeview

• From Melbourne, we are a 3.5 to 4.0 hour drive via the Hume Highway, taking either the Great Alpine Road or turning off the Hume Highway just after Glenrowan and taking the Snow Road through Oxley, Milawa, Myrtleford and then to Mt Beauty either through Bright or across the Happy Valley Road
  (The map sent with your confirmation of booking will then take over.)
  
  V-line buses or trains can transport you to Mt. Beauty if you do not have a vehicle.
  
  During the Winter Season Falls Creek Coach Lines operates a regular service to Mt. Beauty ex Melbourne.
  
  Braeview is a 5 minute walk from the Coach Depot.
   
• From Sydney, we are an 8.5 hour drive
   
• From Canberra we are a 5 hour drive

• From both Sydney and Canberra leave the Hume Highway taking the exit marked B400 Tallangatta merge onto Bandiana Link Road, at roundabout (end of freeway) Turn left on Murray Valley Highway travel approx 1.5 klms and turn right onto the Kiewa Valley Highway signposted to Mt. Beauty.

• From Adelaide, we are a 10-12 hour drive
   
• From Albury/Wodonga we are a 1 hour drive

• From Gippsland via the sealed Bogong High Plains from Bairnsdale we are 217 kms. and from Omeo we are 94 kms the Bogong High Plains Road will take you through to Falls Creek and on to Mt. Beauty. Please note this road is closed during the designated snow season each year. Or you can experience the fully sealed 210km Alpine High Country Loop.
