Booking terms and conditions

Please note that acceptance of the following
terms & conditions is a requirement of booking.

Braeview’s accommodation and adults’ retreat is designed exclusively for couples with each room, Studio or Cottage accommodating 2 people and therefore is unsuitable for families.

Deposit

• A deposit to the value of one night's accommodation or 25% of total booking value, whichever is greater, is required at the time of confirmation.
• Full payment is required one month prior to arrival date.

Security Deposit

This applies via pre authorization of your Credit card on check in/arrival for both forms of our self-contained accommodation ie. Studio Apartment and Reflections Cottage this security deposit is $300.00.

Arrival times

Our opening hours are 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (late arrivals after this time need to make prior arrangements when booking).

• Traditional B & B rooms in the main residence
  After 2:00 pm
• Studio Apartment
  After 2:00 pm
• Reflections Cottage
  After 4:00 pm (early arrival at 2.00pm availability dependant - $40.00 additional fee applies)

Departure times

• Traditional B & B rooms in the main residence:
  On or before 10:00 am
• Studio Apartment:
  On or before 10:30 am (late check-out available until
  12:30 pm must be organised prior to arrival, depending on availability - $40 additional fee applies)
• Reflections Cottage:
  On or before 11:00 am (late check-out available until
  1:00 pm must be organised prior to arrival, depending on availability - $40 additional fee applies)

PLEASE NOTE: You will be charged double the late checkout fee if normal checkout times have not been adhered to.

Visitors

Visitors during the day are welcome in self-contained accommodation – though this should be pre organized with Braeview first. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate visitors in Traditional B&B rooms in the main residence.

Cancellation policy

Gift certificates

Once booking date has been locked-in, for change of original booking date, more than 14 days notice is required to obtain another suitable booking date. (No refunds are applicable)

All other bookings

• More than 14 days notice given — full refund applies less 20% administration charge and any commission
• 8 - 13 days notice given — 50% refund applies less 20% administration charge and any commission
• 7 days or less notice given — sorry no refund

Travel insurance

Consideration should be given to seeking travel insurance (particularly for longer stays) to cover cancellation costs, medical, bushfire threat or any other emergencies that may arise.

In line with the new recently introduced Bushfire Rating System 
Cancellation Policy during Bushfire Season December – March
If we have bushfires in the immediate area, official road closures and authorities have issued explicit advise not to visit an area we will contact you regarding your booking. 
In this case we will be more than willing to come to an amicable arrangement for your inconvenience by the booking being cancelled. To avoid any concerns for your safety we will transfer your booking to another suitable time or leave the dates open for you to rebook within the next 12-month period from date of proposed stay - also applicable to Gift Certificates.

If you are already staying at Braeview and a Code Red day is declared, for your own safety and peace of mind we would prefer for you to leave the area – We are more than willing to come to an amicable arrangement for your inconvenience. A credit note will be raised for the remaining time of your booking to enable you to transfer your booking or leave the dates open for another more suitable time - to be taken in the next 12-month period from your date of stay at Braeview.

If you decide to cancel your booking with no fires in the immediate area, or official road closures, authorities have not issued explicit advice not to visit an area and we are still open for business - unfortunately our normal cancellation policy will apply in this situation.

Single night bookings at weekends - Reflections Cottage & Studio Apartment

Both have a minimum booking of two nights for weekends (excluding long weekends); if last minute vacancies occur we reserve the right to surcharge 20% for a one-night booking.

Smoking

Braeview has a non-smoking policy in all our accommodation – please respect our policy. Ashtrays have been provided for you to smoke outside. At Braeview’s discretion, an airing fee will be charged to your credit card (one days tariff) if it is found you have smoked in your accommodation.

Housekeeping

For the comfort of all guests, Braeview has a no shoe policy inside for Traditional B&B guests (slippers are provided).

At Braeview’s discretion negligent/malicious damage, loss of keys (replacement locks will be required) or theft of property will be charged to your credit card at full replacement cost.

Any items from mini bar not paid for will be charged to your credit card

An excess cleaning fee will be charged to your credit card if deemed necessary, this includes BBQ, unwashed dishes and room/Apartment/Cottage.

Tariffs & prices

• All rates and prices quoted on this website are in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST.
• Rates and prices are firm at the time of deposit otherwise subject to change without notice.
